How it works:

LCS accredits your training programme, which then enables you to issue LCS certificates to employees who complete it. Think of it as quality assurance for your programme that unlocks certification capability for your people.

“We already have a Lean / Six Sigma training programme - why do we need accreditation?”

Many organisations already run effective Lean or Six Sigma training internally.
LCS accreditation strengthens - not replaces - what you’ve already built.
By accrediting your existing programme, LCS helps you:

  • Validate the quality and consistency of your training

  • Benchmark your framework against a globally recognised standard

  • Increase confidence among senior leaders and stakeholders

  • Ensure your improvement capability is transferable, recognised and future-proof

Your content, your trainers, your approach - enhanced with external credibility developed at Cardiff University®.

LCS accreditation has given us a clear framework and structure for developing capability both within our team and across the wider organisation. ... It also strengthens the credibility of our approach, allowing us to benchmark against formal industry standards.

Accreditation vs Certification: What's the Difference?

We accredit your programme. You certify your people.

LCS accreditation validates your organisation's Lean/Six Sigma training programme against our Cardiff University-developed standards. Once accredited, your organisation can issue LCS certificates to employees who complete your training - giving them globally-recognised credentials without external training costs.

Accredit Lean Six Sigma Training

Many organisations deliver Lean Six Sigma certification programmes internally. LCS accreditation allows you to formally recognise and certify this training through a globally recognised continuous improvement framework.

Whether your organisation uses Lean, Six Sigma or a combined approach, LCS helps standardise your training, build capability, and enhance credibility across teams.

Programme Maturity Doesn't Matter

Whether you're running 50 training sessions a year or launching your first Green Belt cohort, LCS accreditation scales to your needs.

Corporate Training Accreditation

LCS provides corporate training accreditation for organisations delivering in-house continuous improvement programmes.

This enables you to certify employees, standardise training across teams, and demonstrate a structured approach to professional development without relying on external training providers.

Who Should Get LCS Accreditation?

LCS accreditation is designed for organisations running (or planning to run) internal Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement training programmes.

You're a great fit if:

You already deliver internal Lean/Six Sigma training (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, or custom levels) and want to add external credibility and enable employee certification
You have a CI, Operational Excellence, or Process Improvement team responsible for building capability across the organisation
You want to certify employees internally without the cost of sending people to external training providers
You're seeking Cardiff University-backed recognition to strengthen stakeholder confidence in your improvement programme
You're building a new CI programme and want a proven framework to structure your training from the start

Industries We Work With
